Mission Statement

The mission of the Biomedical Research Education Program (BREP) of Puerto Rico is to improve the knowledge of K-12 Puerto Rican students about biomedical research focusing on diseases and disorders that disproportionately impact the Puerto Rican population, with the long term goal of increasing the number of Puerto Rican students who pursue a career in the biomedical sciences. This mission will be achieved through the following five initiatives:
