Mini-Grants Awards Program

Specific Objectives

• To establish a Mini-Grants program to support projects that will expose K-12 students to biomedical research and make them aware of the importance of biomedical research and technologies in reducing health disparities.
  
  

This activity will support biomedical research and health education activities in schools involved in education from kindergarten to high school. Examples of initiatives to be funded by Mini-Grants Awards are extra-curricular programs, laboratory demonstrations, and other mechanisms that will stimulate the student's interest in biomedical research at all educational levels. The mini-grants will be awarded through a competitive process. A maximum of three mini-grants will be awarded per year.
